I just did this pumpkin this year. Didn't end up having much time to do it, about 3-4 hours. I got stuck finishing my costume and had to rush this job. In celebration of Watchmen. The graphic novel, not the movie...unless the movie is good.
Yeah, I would totally show one except I forgot to take very many pictures, haha. I got carried away carving and the camera was forgotten! This year I will though. Any suggestions for camera settings? I have trouble capturing the real detail of the pumpkin on camera.
Hmm, well, since I'm not familiar with your particular camera, the best advice I can give you is a longer shutter time and perhaps a high-ish f-stop number for the dark ones; for the ones in the light just try to get some decent light in the room and snap a few with and without flash until you find what works best. I know that all sounded rather amateurish, but everyone takes photos differently and everyone has a different camera ^_^. Do what works for you and I'm sure we'll all love it. I mean, this pumpkin is just so insanely well done!
